What Is Cold Laser Therapy & How Does It Work ?

Often called low-level laser therapy, cold laser therapy, or Class IV laser therapy, this non-evasive, pain-free treatment is still a relatively new concept that is being used more and more in the Veterinary Industry to treat dogs with arthritis, tendon, or soft tissue injuries and to promote wound healing.

Lasers are nothing more than a beam of light that travels at a certain frequency that allows the laser to generate heat penetrate tissue and regenerate cells.

In a typical treatment session, the handheld laser wand is applied to the area to be treated. Depending on the area and the energy we are delivering, this procedure can take anything from 5 to 20 minutes to carry out.
