In the

Pet Plan Veterinary Awards 2021


These are the Oscars of the Veterinary World! Petplan has worked closely with the veterinary profession for over 40 years and hosts these independent industry awards to recognise the hard work and dedication of veterinary staff caring for our pets


Petplan will once again be recognising the remarkable work carried out by some of the best veterinary professionals in the country.

ThePet Plan Awards are now in their 22nd Year, Celebrate the UK’s most outstanding vets, vet nurses, practices, practice managers and support staff who had been nominated by their colleagues and clients for continually going that extra mile, keeping pets healthy and giving owners peace of mind.

Last year Petplan had a remarkable 37,000 nominations, for the five award categories: Practice of the Year, Vet of the Year, Vet Nurse of the Year, Practice Manager of the Year and Practice Support Staff of the Year.

Every year the quality of entries is incredibly high but we know that during 2020 the profession really went the extra mile to take care of the nation’s pets so we expect the 2021 awards to be extra special."


"From the thousands of nominations, the judges have a very difficult task to narrow down the field of nominations to just three finalists in each category. The finalists are all invited to attend the Veterinary Awards ceremony, where the winners are announced."




The practice of the Year - Fit4dogsuk Canine Hydrotherapy Center

Kirsty Owner and Lead Hydrotherapist said " We are so proud to be acknowledged in the Veterinary industry for all of our hard work and dedication by all of our Team in this strange year we have all had, A huge well done to all our staff and keep up the great work!!



Vet Nurse of the Year - Kate Etridge


Kate Etridge has been Nominated Vet Nurse of the Year in the Pet Plan Awards 2021 Kate has been a veterinary nurse for over 20 years and Canine Hydrotherapist, she was nominated for her passion for finding new rehabilitation methods to help clients pets to aid in the recovery.




Support Staff of the Year - Fran Smith


The support staff of the Year is to showcase those who have gone above and beyond and Fran has certainly met this criteria. In what has been a really challenging year for all staff across the UK, we congratulate Fran on her much-deserved award.



Practice Manager of the Year - Kirsty Skeates


These awards recognise, highlights and reward the hard-working and innovation that gets carried out every day in the practice. Kirsty said she feels honoured to have been nominated for this award. I must say that it is the support of the whole team, I would not be able to do my job and this award is for them as well.
